Your Thompson Hyundai EV Lineup:
Electric
Using motors entirely powered by batteries, our EVs represent the future of driving. Not only do you get instant torque from the motor, but the battery also gives you impressive range - up to an EPA-emtimated combined All-Electric Range of 303 miles with IONIQ 5. It's also where you'll find our most innovative technology and design.
Electric Advantages
State savings, complementary charging, HOV lane, no more stopping at the gas pump, no oil changes, zero tailpipe emissions, quick acceleration, and regenerative braking.
Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV)
Our plug-in hybrids offer the best of both worlds. And the battery-powered motor and gas engine combine to give you performance that's often more powerful than the gas-only versions. The 2023 Hyundai Tucson Plug-in Hybrid was named Best Plug-in Hybrid by U.S. News & World Report.
PHEV Advantages
HOV lane, wireless connectivity, All-electric mode, regenerative braking, remote start parking assist & charging convenience.
Hybrid
Efficiently using both gas and electricity, our hybrids take you farther on every tank. Their highly advanced power trains give you the same responsiveness as their gas-only counterparts if not more. Hybrids tend to have better fuel efficiency since they use more power and less gas at lower speeds. And their batteries don't have to be plugged in - they get recharged entirely by regenerative braking.
Hybrid Advantages
Better MPGs, regenerative braking & added responsiveness.
HYUNDAI ELECTRIC VEHICLE FEATURES:

Using motors entirely powered by batteries, electric vehicles give you instant acceleration and nimble handling on the road. They also have bigger than plug-in hyrbids or hybrids. This means a much longer electric range - up to an EPA-estimated combined All-Electric Range of 303 miles for IONIQ 5 and 258 miles for KONA Electric. Regenerative braking helps extend the range.
The battery's recharged by plugging into an outlet, with charging speed depending on the vehicle and type of charger. For instance, IONIQ 5 is capable of ultra-fast charging with an 800V DC charger, which makes it one of the quickest charging EVs.

FAQ Frequently asked questions:
a. Electric vs plug-in hybrid: What are the differences?
i. Electric vehicles use motors entirely powered by batteries, while plug-in hybrids use both a motor and gas engine. EVs have larger batteries than plug-in hybrids--which means longer all-electric range. Plug-in hybrids can go in all-electric mode for a shorter range compared to EVs but can then travel in hybrid mode.
b. Hybrid vs plug-in hybrid: What are the differences?
i. While both hybrids and plug-in hybrids use a battery-powered motor and a gas engine, plug-in hybrids have bigger batteries than hybrids, which provides you with the option of driving in all-electric mode for a limited range. So, while both vehicles recharge with regenerative braking, plug-in hybrid batteries should be recharged with an outlet.
c. How do I qualify for an electric vehicle tax credit?
i. The amount of tax credit or incentives you qualify for depends on where you live. Click here to find state incentives.
d. How many electrified vehicles does Hyundai have?
i. We currently have 9 electrified models in our lineup: 2 electric vehicles, 2 plug-in hybrids, 4 hybrids, and 1 fuel cell vehicle.
